Cypress Semiconductor’s MB9Bx10T series of microcontrollers, which operates at a clock speed of 144MHz, offers the high performance and memory capability required in demanding industrial and consumer electronics applications.
The MB9Bx10T series is a part of the FM3 family of 32-bit general-purpose MCUs based on the ARM® Cortex®-M3 processor core.
Operating from a 2.7V to 5.5V power supply, the FM3 MB9Bx10T provides up to 1Mbyte of Flash memory and 128kbytes of SRAM, and features a pre-fetch buffer for zero-wait-state operation at 144MHz. The processor sub-system has a high 478 CoreMark® rating.
The MB9Bx10T devices are particularly well suited to safety-critical applications, since they offer an error-correcting code (ECC) capability, as well as a hardware watchdog timer, low-voltage detection and clock supervisor blocks.
On-board communication capabilities include support for industrial Ethernet applications through two IEEE 1588 Ethernet interfaces. The MB9Bx10T parts also offer two USB and two CAN interfaces.
The MCUs’ analogue sub-system includes three 12-bit ADCs with a 32-channel multiplexer input, and operating at a sampling rate of 1Msample/s.
