Vishay Intertechnology has introduced the first devices in a new series of composite coupled inductors built on the company’s IHLP® technology, for use in SEPIC DC-DC converters and other applications.
The Vishay Dale IHCL inductors, which feature magnetic coupling greater than 90%, are available in eight inductance values ranging from 2.2µH to 47µH.
By integrating two inductors in one compact 10.16mm x 10.67mm package with a low 4.0mm profile, these devices enable engineers to design more compact, robust, and efficient SEPIC converter circuits, while lowering overall costs. IHLP inductors in additional 3232, 5050 and 6767 package sizes will also be available soon.
The devices’ shielded, composite construction reduces buzz noise to very low levels. They are characterized by high resistance to thermal shock, moisture, mechanical shock and vibration.
