TE Connectivity’s Z-PACK 2mm HM (Hard Metric) connector system, which is aimed at telecoms and instrumentation applications, offers excellent electrical and mechanical characteristics at an economical price.
Combining high density with flexible configuration, the connectors comply with the IEC 917 and IEC 61076-4-101 standards.
The HM 2mm pitch of the Z-PACK connector’s phosphor bronze contacts enables the connectors to be mated with compatible products from other suppliers.
The Z-PACK connector parts are designed as modular units to allow for flexible configuration. They are intended for use with universal power modules rated at 7.8A per line, and 23.4A when fully energized.
The connectors’ specifications offer controlled impedance, and their excellent electrical performance supports data rates up to 3.25Gbits/s, suitable for high-speed telecoms and networking equipment. Special versions of the Z-PACK connector are available to fit the VME 64 and Compact PCI embedded board standards.
